1. Implementation Research

ziziAfrique has carried out implementation research on foundational learning, girls’ education, education inclusion and Breadth of Learning Opportunity from curriculum design to classroom instruction and learning.

2. Scoping Surveys and Situational Analysis

ziziAfrique appreciates the importance of carrying out scoping surveys prior to designing programmes. We use participatory methodologies to map existing evidence and identify knowledge gaps. We capture the voices of the people targeted for interventions especially children.

We undertake Situational Analysis to understand the context before undertaking interventions. To us, Situational Analysis remain a strategic tool for improving education

3. Curriculum and material development

At ziziAfrique, we believe that for us to improve foundational learning, we need well trained teachers who have access to relevant, adequate and age appropriate materials. We have supported organizations developed teaching and learning materials for early grade learners and for catch-up programmes for out of school girls.

ziziAfrique has ensured that the curriculum and materials developed are relevant to the targeted cohort of 10-19 years, are age appropriate and cognizant of gender and inclusion aspects which are core to the project design.

4. 21st Century Skills Development

21st Century skill development equips young individuals with the skills they need to cope and thrive in a technologically advanced world. ziziAfrique has played an instrumental role in 21st Century skill development through mentorship project such as the Turkana Girls Mentorship Project.

5. Strengthening School Administration and Governance

ziziAfrique has also been at the forefront of strengthening school administration and governance by partnering with UNICEF in implementing the Shule Safi Project to ensure effective use of the resources and promote leadership among school head teachers.

6. Capacity Building

In Institutional Capacity Building, ziziAfrique hosted Future First and PAL Network during which time we helped strengthen their administrative and financial skills crucial for running an organization. Thereafter, these organization went on to be registered as independent organizations.
